A super quick, non-scientific test of Blackmagic’s RC14 firmware beta update, featuring the improved autofocus for the BCC6K with PDAF on the sensor.
All footage was shot in a single day, shaky handheld, with a mix of daytime and low-light scenes. RC14 (and RC13) still hold up really well in low light, though RC12 version of the firmware performed even better in those conditions.
I only tested the Face Detect AF and AF-C modes. Object tracking did not work that well for me.
