46115 "Scots Guardsman" awakens Widney Manor on 'The Capital Christmas Express'. Filmed Saturday 25th November 2023, released the same day.
Whilst in the Birmingham area to catch Vintage Trains' 'Polar Express' that evening, we took the opportunity to see Ex-LMS 'Royal Scot' No. 46115 "Scots Guardsman" which was at the helm of the Railway Touring Company's 'The Capital Christmas Express' running from Chester to London Paddington. The railtour was originally meant to have been hauled by Ex-LMS 'Black Five' No. 44932 but after a test run on the Wednesday before the railtour it was presumably deemed unfit for service.
We see 46115 "Scots Guardsman" on the outbound run at Widney Manor powering through through the station at a tremendous speed. In addition we also see an extra second perspective of 46115 "Scots Guardsman" powering through the station on the opposite platform.
