Last month I visited the amazing fishing community of Kwikpack Fisheries in the village of Emmonak, at the border of the Yukon river in Alaska! Respect for nature is a major feature of Alaska's culture. For over 10.000 years the local Yup'ik Eskimo community is fishing here for the very best Keta salmon. Wild, natural and sustainable. It is here where the (MSC certified) salmon does consist of the highest oil content which result in the very best taste and quality. This small scale sustainable fishing method makes sure there is more than enough salmon left for spawning upriver. In this video I am making a delicious sashimi salad with truly fresh salmon. A perfect, tasty dish and easy to prepare. Simply fresh, healthy and a real delicacy! Enjoy.
