Wally, whose real name is Wallace Vandlous, is a scarecrow created by Asgore to keep crows and other birds out of his garden. Over time, Wally got worn out and ended up shoved behind a locked storage door in Asgore's garden.

While Wally was still in use, Asgore would chat with him, treating the scarecrow like a buddy. He’d share all sorts of stories—some happy, some sad. They were a team, both tasked with guarding the garden. But when Wally started to fall apart, Asgore just tossed him aside without a second thought.

In the dark world, Wally was once a fierce warrior, a protector of the Darkners, sacrificing his own body to fend off threats. But just like in the light world, he eventually grew weak and could no longer defend his people. As respect faded, and after Asgore locked him away, Wally found himself trapped in the dark corner of that storage room, never to see the light again. He sat in the shadows, his body decaying, until a mysterious figure discovered him and set him free, giving him a piece of a shadow crystal that revealed the harsh truth: the people around him were just using him, and Asgore, the Lightner he trusted most, had betrayed him by discarding him when he was no longer useful.

Filled with rage, Wally turned against everyone. Instead of protecting them, he began to vandalize their property, destroying crops and burning gardens. It's the best he can do now with his filmy weak fragile body.


Weird route story:
Kris manages to steal Wally's Dullbozer, a powerful machine, and uses it to cause chaos among the people. Fortunately, Wally hasn't installed the shadow crystal in the Dullbozer yet. He watches in anger as his hard work is taken from him and used by the Lightner once again. Furious about the theft, Wally starts to follow Kris.
As they wreak havoc with the Dullbozer, Wally collects junk and scrap from the places they destroy. Using these materials, he builds an even larger and more powerful machine called the BARNJO BARBOOEY.
After Kris threatens Wally, he flees to his home, which transforms into a giant mech. Now at an advantage, Wally chases them down. Asgore, unaware of what Kris has done, jumps into the Dullbozer to protect the kids and keep Wally away from them.
The battle culminates when Wally, desperate to eliminate the Lightners he despises, sets his mech to self-destruct, killing him instantly. The explosion injures Asgore, who heroically tries to save the children from the blast. In the aftermath, he is left holding Wally's banjo, reflecting on the mistakes he made that led his old friend down this dark path.

Normal route Story:
After deceiving the Lightner into assisting him, Wally modified his harvesting vehicle into a massive bulldozer tank. He powered it with the Shadow Crystal, which he promised to give the Lightner once his project was complete. However, he soon betrayed the Lightner and used the bulldozer tank, which he named "Dullbozer," to wreak havoc on the farms of many. His goal was pure chaos, he believed that by flattening everything, he could destroy the history and memories tied to people's possessions. To him, there was no greater thrill than obliterating what others had worked so hard to build, erasing not just their structures but the cherished memories they held dear. He wish the history and memories of the land he once protect in his youth to be forgotten , just like him. This is another way for him to pull his revenge on Asgore, destroying the garden they've work so hard to grow. Wally vowed to destroy everything, time and again...

In response, the Lightner set out to halt his rampage and ultimately managed to pierce the tank's metal exterior using the power of the Bravery Soul. Once Wally's battle machine was defeated, he cowardly fled the scene, leaving behind the Shadow Crystal as well as his weapon and armor—the Broken Banjo. Or if you choose to defeat him with mercy, he abandons the Dry Strawhat.
