Описание: The Tarka Valley Railway opened at the old Torrington Station in 2008 and ran its first train on the standard gauge heritage demonstration line in 2023. The group aim to re-open the railway through Instow to Bideford where another heritage line exists. The line had been opened to Torrington in 1872 and through to Halwill Junction by 1925 under the Southern Railway. Closed to passengers in 1965 the line carried freight until 1982.
