How to deposit your EU-funded publication in the OAPEN Library

Do you have a book or chapter funded by the European Union?

Then it will need to be deposited in the OAPEN Library.

The European Union requires that peer-reviewed publications from funded research are available in open access.

The OAPEN Library has been funded by the European Union to provide a trusted platform where books and chapters can be shared, preserved, and discovered worldwide.

This service is for researchers and publishers with books or chapters funded by programmes including Horizon Europe, Horizon 2020, 7th Framework Programme, European Research Council grants, and Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions.

Your publisher may deposit the publication for you. Please check with them if you are unsure to avoid duplication.

Depositing your publication is simple.

First, go to the deposit page on the OAPEN website.

Next, fill in the online form with key information about your book or chapter. This includes details like the title, authors, publisher, and funding.

Please upload the PDF or EPUB file of your book or chapter.

Finally, click on send to submit your request.

A member of the OAPEN team will then review your submission.

Usually, within one week your book or chapter will be added to the European Union collection in the OAPEN Library. If further information is required, we will contact you.

By depositing your European Union-funded book in the OAPEN Library, you help make research openly available, visible, and preserved for the future.
