While we both agreed that Kurt Russell delivers a powerhouse performance as Lee Shaw, the modern-day characters like Kentaro, Kate, and May left a lot to be desired. From annoying decision-making to inconsistent emotions, we discuss why the human element often felt like the weakest link in an otherwise massive world.

We also talk about the visual spectacle and the budget Apple poured into this project. Seeing Godzilla and various Titans appear on the small screen was a huge win, and the way the story links back to Kong Skull Island and the broader cinematic universe kept us invested even when the characters were hard to tolerate.
