Restoring my vintage Bobcat 742 skid steer! In this episode, I prep the entire frame for sandblasting by grinding rust, plasma cutting damaged sections, torching out dents, and welding up cracks for a solid repair. I also weld in fresh bushings to tighten everything up. The big surprise? I tear down the hydraulic pump and find virtually ZERO wear inside — all the evidence points to the hour meter being dead accurate at just 584 hours! This thing is way cleaner than expected for its age.
