I was on the verge of chucking this old IKEA RAST chest. I bought it years ago for €25 and gave it a questionable turquoise paint job at the time.
Then I discovered IKEA now sells the exact same chest for €60 in Spain. (WTF?!)
So instead of throwing it out, I challenged myself to upcycle it using mostly leftover materials from previous DIY projects and our last apartment reform.
Total spend: €18
Idiot mistakes: 1
Result: A unique vintage white cabinet
