✂️✍️ PART 1 – Make a botanical collection in the Sarawak rainforest with Tropical Botanist Dr Peter Wilkie!
A group of scientists and horticulturalists from the Botanics travelled to Sarawak on the island of Borneo earlier this year, working closely with experts from the Forest Department Sarawak Herbarium to make new plant collections.
Collections made on this trip will be homed in the Edinburgh and Sarawak herbaria, providing scientists with invaluable new material to better understand the plant diversity of the region and support future research and conservation activities.
With many parts of Sarawak not having been botanically explored for many years, this field trip was an exciting opportunity for new discoveries! Look out for Part 2 and Part 3 coming soon.
