Wide, rose-colored deserts, railroad semaphores, and searchlights jointed rail and telegraph poles, 7588 feet above sea level, the Raton tunnel. We love the old Santa Fe RR. We ride the Southwest Chief on the back of private rail car NYC-3 on October 12, 2016. The video starts in Gallup [0:22], with station stops in Albuquerque [2:30:40], Lamy [3:51:19], Las Vegas [5:36:48], and Raton [7:22:50] all in New Mexico, as it gets dark, we end in Trinidad Colorado [8:22:50].
