This sermon traces the story from Eden to Qohelet to Jesus, showing that we were created for joy with God, not slavery to pleasure or duty. In John 15, Jesus—who shares the Father’s own joy—invites us to abide in his love so that “my joy may be in you, and your joy may be full,” making holiness and happiness not rivals but companions in a life lived with him.
