Описание: We are sad to say that recently B&LE 905, SD40T-3 (a Rebuilt Southern Pacific Tunnelmotor), has been put on the B&P Interchange Track in Butler PA. Rumor has it, it'll be sent to Ontario, and rebuilt as a RCO Yard Locomotive. Since 1999, B&LE has had 11 Tunnelmotors roaming around, getting the job done. Until 2014/2015, IC SD70s were sent to replace the Tunnelmotors, and one by one, the Tunnelmotors were removed slowly in small batches until, 1 remained, 905. 905 was the last one of her sisters. She had been in a log truck accident causing her nose to be replaced with a KCS Tunnelmotor nose. She was the last one to remain on the property, along with 3 other Bessemer Units: B&LE 862 (DM&IR Paint), B&LE 867 (Modified Paint in 1999/2000 Rebuild, B&LE 868 (Org. Paint). The 905 lasted 5 more years compared to her sisters, and now her time has come. 3 Units remain on the property of B&LE Heritage, 2 (BLE 862 & BLE 868) Remain up at the P&C Docks in Conneaut, OH, while B&LE 867 roams around on the mainline. I've had a good run with the 905 while it's lasted. I've gotten it so many times leading & trailing, I've chased it, gotten up close shots. I'm definitely sad to see it go, and never did I think, my last shot of it would be of it Solo on the Mainline on 2/8/19. Hopefully the rumors about 905 aren't true about being turned into a RCO Unit, and maybe itll return. If not, maybe this will offer an opportunity for one of her sisters to return.
