Описание: In this Restoration Academy Talk, Mithilesh Kandalkar shares how the Mahadev Kuli tribe of Bhima Shankar, India, is restoring balance between people and nature. Supported by the Indo-German RECAP4NDC project, the community is reviving native trees like Hirda and Jamun, reducing human-wildlife conflict, and creating sustainable livelihoods through nurseries and forest-based enterprises.
By combining traditional knowledge with modern conservation, they are turning a sacred yet threatened landscape into a living model of coexistence and demonstrating that restoration succeeds when communities lead and nature is given the space to heal.
