1984 Santa Barbara Soap Premier Episode 1 VHS with New Orleans Commercials

This recently acquired VHS tape contained the premier episode of the soap, Santa Barbara, which first aired on July 30, 1984. Not only were commercials left in, but there are some great local commercials to New Orleans.
Santa Barbara has the distinct honor of being the first US television show broadcast in Ukraine after the Soviet Union fell.
The only edit I made was to bookend the segment with two commercials found earlier on the tape, during the episode of Another World which proceeded Santa Barbara. The last commercial I just found funny, but the first commercial you might recognize a certain young actor, William Zabka, known more for his Karate moves on Cobra Kai.
This VHS tape was in a lot of 45 tapes, all used blanks with taped off TV content. I’ve only gone through 1/3 of them so far, but all appear to be from the mid-‘80s. Every tape has had some gold on it, especially commercials. Bo and Hope’s wedding and their trip to New Orleans is on some, ‘80s adult entertainment taped from The Playboy Channel has also been discovered… and let me tell you, the interviews with male strippers from early ‘80s is priceless!
