30s Acoustic Archtop Comparison
In this clip i'll be playing "Stomping at the Savoy", a standard from 1934 composed by Edgar Sampson. I will play 8 bars of melody and 8 bars of rhythm on each of the following guitars :
Stromberg Deluxe 1931/32, 16 inches, Ladder braced
Gibson L5 1934, 16 inches, Parallel braced
Stromberg 1938/39, 17 inches, Parallel braced
Gibson Super 400 1937, 18 inches, X braced
Guitar scales are all 630mm exept for the Deluxe that is 645mm
