On 23 January 2026, Coventry Peace Ambassadors was one of three finalists for the €5000 OSCE Award in the 2026 Basel PACEY Award Ceremony. They were shortlisted out of 75 entries from around the world. This sum is donated by the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).
The Basel Peace Office launched the Peace, nuclear Abolition and Climate Engaged Youth (PACEY) Award in 2020 to highlight and assist youth action in these key fields. It supports youth projects which advance effective policy action to cut carbon emissions, enhance the transition to renewable energies, address and resolve international conflicts, abolish nuclear weapons, reduce weapons budgets and investments, and/or support the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Priority is given to projects making the connections between peace, climate and nuclear disarmament issues, and their increasing relevance in current times, including in relation to the pandemic.
Each entry for the award had to submit a video and the winners were selected by votes from those watching via video. Voting was extremely tight and unfortunately Coventry Peace Ambassadors did not win, but they had only a week to produce their video, and the result is amazing.
