Two suspects wanted for armed robbery were followed by some undercover units when the suspects took off and later foot bailed. The driver of the vehicle was a female and was arrested. The officers followed him into the townhome complex between Topanga and Owensmouth, and Burbank. They lost sight of the suspect and started a perimeter. An apartment owner came into her garage and saw the suspect and ran out. The suspect hid in the town home. Multiple K-9 units and Swat arrived on scene. They used tear gas to try to get the suspect to come out, but he tunneled through one of the walls. He was later found inside of a trashcan. The suspect was taken by ambulance to the hospital and will be arrested after. He was in his 40s, Hispanic male with long hair. The area should be open in an hour or two after they clear the area.
