HO ESU (Loksound) DB V200 w/ smoke First Run!

Smoke unit works very well. Perhaps too well. I need to adjust it. Basically slow down the fan speed and reduce temperature of heating units. Nice rumble of 2 Maybach prime motors. Lots of light effects, including engine room. And lots of sound effects too, including rail squeal in curves when the trucks are actually turning.
This ESU model is mostly die cast made. The quality of metal molding is actually superior than Marklin's V200 and its best metal bodies. There are fine plastic and brass details on it to complement this outstanding model.
ESU made many variants: V200/220, SBB Am4/4, etc.
For instance this early normal production of prototype was built by MAK and it has the correct mid body "low profile" metal trimming and the 3 dimension " Deutsch Bundesbahn" applied lettering on the sides all casted on the body. The SBB has smooth body without side lettering, different hatches location and exhaust silencers. So ESU has made at lest 4 body molds of V200 to cover about 40 years of many eras of it.
I am completely sold by this new ESU line of locomotives. It is well designed. It looks and feels very solid and for a little more of the cost of a Marklin model, you will get a much superior and updated model. Enjoy the video.
