Putting first and most important factor first, we start with the people. Known as Newfoundlanders, they are probably the nicest people you’ll ever meet in Canada. You’ll love the manner in which you’d be treated. Despite being a stranger, they will be willing to work with you and give you information on everything you need to know, from their favorite local restaurant to other must-see spots throughout the province. The people are generally kind and friendly. They will immediately make you feel at home. In fact, their unique accents and vernacular are so charming and interesting. What about their love of music and storytelling? They tell some of the best stories authenticated by some of the best slang that may throw you off balance in the middle of the conversation.

Nine. The Lighthouses
Let’s talk next about the beautiful lighthouses you will see in every direction as you travel the coast of Newfoundland. These historic lighthouses dot every coastal corner of the area prompting anyone who wishes to create an epic trip, hopping from one to the next. If you like, you can even stay in a few of these houses. Among notable lighthouses Canada is known for you will find in Newfoundland is Point Amour Lighthouse located in southern Labrador. It’s the tallest in Atlantic Canada, standing at 164 feet. Built in 1857, Point Amour offers breathtaking views of the coastline and the North Atlantic Ocean. Another one is Ferryland Lighthouse. Built in 1870, it’s a charming coastal landmark. We can also talk about the Heart's Content Lighthouse, another historic beacon in Heart's Content, Newfoundland. Woody Point Public Library in Bonne Bay housed in a historic building is another addition to the charm of the area.

If you’re lucky, you may catch a few in July.
