The robust rescue vehicle is based on the proven chassis of the Mercedes Unimog U5000 4x4 with torsion-free body and portal axles. THE NAFFCO CHALLENGER is armed with a host of rescue equipment and hydraulic tools in conducting rescue missions when going over uneven ground. The specially equipped Unimog rescue vehicle are not only designed for extreme off-road use, but also have a wading ability of up to 1.2 m.
The engine offers enough power reserves even in extreme situations with 160 kW/218 hp. Most of the emergency workers' vehicles were unable to make progress on the paths affected by water and landslides. Exception: the Unimog.
