An interview by Shirley Swain with Mark, one of our veterans who has completed the programme. Mark and Jerry are Assistance Dog Partnership and continue being heavily involved with SDUK, mentoring other veterans and their dogs through the programme.
Jerry is highly trained to be in tune with Mark's needs and helps him with finding an exit when in a crowded place, waking Mark from nightmares, medication retrieval and much more..
It's given Mark his independence and enjoyment of life back, provides him with a routine and of course a wonderful and deep friendship with an amazing dog: Jerry!
