KTM400 EXC. diy manual cam chain adjuster.

Описание: uhhh? i think i said KTX cos it was only 2 coffees into the day but i got my M10 x 1.0mm x 75mm bolt back from the machine shop and set it up as a manual cam tensioner.
the screw in cap is M10 x 1.0mm hence the bolt being hand made, i cant buy fancy thread pitch bolts here. this mod also needs the oil feed hole blanking off and to keep it reverseable i made an aluminium plug 5mm x 21mm with a 4mm threaded hole in the end so it can be pulled back out.
the plug had a 45 degree chamfer cut across the end to match the angle of the drilled hole in the engine cylinder. it lightly tapped into the hole and i left it flush with the threads of the big bung.
then after cutting the bolt down and filing 4 flats on it for adjustment with a spanner i screwed it in by hand to take out the camchain slack. i did this 3 or 4 times until i was happy that i hadnt overtensioned the camchain and locked it all off. i spun the motor over with the plug out and kill switch pushed in to check the cam shaft oil spray was not blocked off by the plug as im new to this engine and havnt pulled it apart yet. it was all good.
so i fired the badboy up and instantly the horrible rattling sound of impending doom had gone away.... result!
