Spring-well Whole Home Water Filtration Install

I installed a home water filtration system from springwell. I learned more than i thought I would have about plumbing and fittings. My Job is rough, and I made it look as good as I could without getting copper pipe, which is ideal, but not in the budget, as this was the alternative to getting a professional to do it. With that said, after all this, i can call myself an uncertified plumbers assistant.

The Problems:
The System seems to work well, but after a few weeks of it running with no problem, one of the regen cycles prevented the WS1 from working. In fact something changed that not even springwell support could explain. Water flows while it's in Regen mode, and not while it's in service, which is opposite as it should work. Springwell was great and they sent me a replacement head, but the same issue persisted with the new head. Springwell could not explain it, and my original idea of the gears that allow water flow being off or backwards, were also dashed (unless there is a really small chance of it happening with a second head). They offered to replace my tank too, but the tank has no moving parts, I can't fathom what replacing that would solve. And in order for them to send me a new one I need to destroy the head and the tank by drilling into it. Which is like, holy crap, I guess this is what yuo get for going with a company who doesn't have any in person service, (and if they did I would be out of range since the company is based out of Florida.)

Killing the Tank is too much work for me right now so I just put it into regen mode and then pull the electrical cord. This allows water to flow through the tank and out with the filtered water then into the second salt water filter tank, which has no issues besides the fact that I can't set the grains of hard ward to the level I need. I have about .6 grains of hard water, and the lowest setting is 1, which results in much slimier water than I need. With this I only regen the tank once a month, besides that it works well with no problems.

Final Thoughts:
If you know what you're doing or can have a plumber set this up, it's worth it to give them the headache instead. Springwell support was nice, but I can't believe they were not able to solve my problem, one in which they had never heard about or experienced before (sounded like they were reading off someone else's documentation).

Final Prognosis:
Don't go with the Cheaper Option and waste your time with this, your wife means well but it's your time and energy that is being burnt up. Get a Plumber to setup a system that they will maintain and service.
