Sarson Ka Sag Makkae Ki Roty Winter Special Recipe
Ingredients:
1. Sarsson ka Saag 1 kg
2. Palak ½ kg
3. Methi 1 Pao
4. Garlic chopped 3 tbsp
5. Green chilli 2 tbsp crushed
6.Piaz 1 medium size
7. Adrak 3 tbsp
For Curry
1. Onion 2 medium size chopped
2. Tomato ½ cup paist
3. Green chilli crushed 2 tbsp
4. Ginger 1 tbsp paist
5. Red chilli powder 1 tsp
6. Turmeric half tsp
7.Salt 1 tbsp or according to taste
8. chilli flakes ½ tsp
9. garam masala ½ tsp
10. Makkae ka atta 1 dish spoon
For tarkka
1. Desi ghee 4 tbsp
2. Garlic slice cut
3. Red chilli 6
Sarson ka Saag is a traditional, hearty North Indian/Punjabi winter dish made primarily from mustard greens (sarson) , often mixed with Spanish (palak) and fenugreek (methi) leaves, slow - cooked into a creamy Curry and tipacally served with makkae ki roty (cornmeal flat bread) and a dollop of butter or ghee . known for its unique peppery taste, it's a culturally significant, nutritious delicacy from the Indian subcontinent.
Traditionally paired with makkae ki roty (cornmeal flat bread) and a generous topping of white butter (makkhan or ghee)
