Описание: I took this video on CA-13 highway in a town called Prieta. I was coming from La Ceiba and driving towards Tocoa in Colón, Honduras. I was struck by the number of African oil palm plantations that extended for miles from the Cortés department to the Colón department along the Atlantic coast. As you can tell from the video I took, the African oil palm trees looked beautiful, but these trees are causing a lot of environmental harm. Deforestation continues in Punta Sal National Park which has since been renamed Jeanette Kawas National Park. Jeanette Kawas was shot in 1995 in her own house; she was a nuisance to the powers-that-be as she relentlessly tried to save the forest from continued destruction.
