Roasted Tomato Sauce - EASY and FAST oven roasted tomato sauce !
Recipe for 2 serving / about 340g
(50kcal/100g)
Ingredients:
2 Tbsp Olive Oil (15g)
1x Garlic, clove (ca. 6g)
½ tsp Salt (3g)
3 tsp Tomato puree (30g)
4x Tomato (ripe!) (e.g Peretti / Pelati) (430g)
Preparation method:
Give 2 Tbsp of olive oil into a baking dish.
Peel one clove of garlic, chop it up finely and add it to the olive oil.
Add the tomato puree and the salt. Mix everything and spread it out in the baking dish.
Wash the tomatoes, remove the stalk, cut them in half and place them with the skin side up in the baking dish on the tomato puree mixture.
(The whole form should be lined with tomatoes, if not enough simply add a few more tomatoes.)
Place the dish in the cold oven, set the oven to 200°C (392°F) and bake for 40 minutes in the middle of the oven without the fan.
Remove the baking dish from the oven and immediately remove the skins of the tomatoes with tongs or a fork.
Now mash the tomatoes with a fork and mix everything well.
Serve the sauce immediately or keep it warm in the oven, the sauce can also be cooled and reheated.
Notice:
The tomatoes must be ripe when they are hard the sauce burns and the tomatoes cannot be mashed.
The best sauce is made with a tomato that does not have many seeds and liquid, such as Peretti or Pelati.
Garlic can also be left out.
This tomato sauce tastes super fresh and is very easy and quick to prepare.

Shelf life:
The tomato sauce can easily be kept well covered in the refrigerator for about 4-5 days.
The sauce can also be frozen well packed for up to 6 months.
