Modification to Fanatec Universal Hub with 2 x Ascher Racing Clutch Paddles
Hello to all, OK! this has been a while coming, firstly gathering the funds to purchase all of this kit, and then getting someone to actually carry out this modification for me, But lo and behold!! I am now the proud owner of my own modified Fanatec Universal Hub which will be connected to my newly acquired Fanatec wheelbase ver 2.5.
Many Thanks for Mr Simon Maltby from SimRacingMachines.com for completing this mod for me, Simon has used two Ascher Racing clutch paddles with associated usb electronics to add a set of hand controls to the Fanatec Universal Hub. These paddles, along with the already fitted gear change paddles, will be used as a throttle and brake for my purposes of racing in programs like Project Cars 2, Assetto Corsa and the like, but could also be used as clutch release paddles, or as a analog handbrake ect, it’s all up to the choice of the user.
This mod will now give me the chance of having some real enthusiast grade kit to go simracing with, and the force feedback delivered by the new wheelbase will be in a different league to the entry level Logitech G25 that I had modded for myself in the past.
So I hope you find this video entertaining, usefull perhaps for anyone out there who may be thinking along the same lines for a mod of your own, and also goes to show what can be done for people with a disability to get in and still have great fun playing some of the marvoulous gaming packages out there
I hope you enjoyed this video, please leave a like, and if you would like to see more, then subscribe to be notified of future uploads, it really does help me in getting the channel a bit more exposure.
All the best and See ya soons
