A rock cover of the song "You'll Be Gone" by YonKaGor, in the style of the music from the early 2000s Sonic games.

I couldn't find a higher resolution version of that image, so deal with it.

I've wanted to create a rendition of this song for a few weeks now, but never got the chance to do it. At first, I was going to make it in the style of a rock song with orchestral elements. However, I've been getting into a lot of punk rock as of recent (Green Day 'n' stuff), so the cover turned out as it is. Also, although I have a grasp of the differences between an "arrangement", "cover", and a "remix", people still use those terms interchangeably, so I'm confused now. Technically, this is an arrangement of somebody else's song, using samples from the Sonic Adventure and Sonic Heroes soundtracks, so it's also a remix of the Sonic Adventure soundtracks? Whatever. "Remix" sounds cooler anyway. Also, google lied to me. Don't cut the highs and lows in the guitar and boost the mids, cut the mids to make room for other instrument. Sounds way better that way. In terms of actual "Sonic" elements that are in the song, there's the intro to Egg Hawk, the kick and snare samples, arguably the synths used (which sounds kinda like the ones used in the cutscene music of Sonic Heroes and Shadow the Hedgehog), the riff to Live & Learn, and the genre (I guess). To be honest, this is more Pop Punk than the Hard Rock found in the Sonic games, but whatever. This is just my opinion, but this came out way better that I expect it to which results in the remix sounding kinda, meme-ish? Like one of those "high quality rip"s you'd find on youtube. Probably has to do with this being a weird crossover ig

P.s. I forgot to mention, something cool is that the synth is actually 2 combined!!!
