“Banging on the drum” is a traditional close-range training concept where you chase, overwhelm, and crush the guard. There’s no waiting, no posing, no point-scoring. Once contact is made, you move forward and stay on him.
In this drill:
We face off honestly
The opponent blocks
We don’t stop
Every strike drives the next
Defence is smashed, not avoided
This is how you learn to deal with someone who shells up, braces, and just wants to survive. You don’t look for openings — you create them through pressure.
