Ok ... I did not want to make this video, but I find it disrespectful to leave this topic aside
Today Stan Lee died: creator of Marvel characters and for many "the old man who appears in the Marvel movies" I was working when I saw the news and at first I thought it was a joke, but when pages like Empire, Marvel or Disney started to leave the rumors aside I realized that Stan Lee had died.
But for those who do not know, I'm going to tell you a little about this man.
Stanley Martin Lieber was born on December 28, 1922 in Manhattan. He is known for creating characters such as Spiderman, the avengers, x men, hulk, fantastic four and the mighty Thor. Stan Lee got a job as an assistant at Timely Comics. At age 20, he debuted as a screenwriter with a two-page story starring the best Marvel superhero: Captain America. His goal then was to become a writer at the level of Robert Louis Stevenson, Arthur Conan Doyle or Edgar Rice Burroughs. In 1960 Stan Lee was about to leave Marvel Comics but his wife convinced him to create the comic he wanted to do. And in 1961 I created fantastic four and then with the help of Jack Kirby and Steve Dikto I created most of the most beloved characters of the publishing house which made Marvel become the largest publishing house in the world.
No doubt Stan Lee is a great inspiration to me, I've heard rumors that plagiarized characters of DC comics, but the fact is that Mr. Stan Lee live in the memory of everything forever.
Why do I tell you this? Simple: I'm also writing my own comic, just like I want to create my own characters and create my own universe so that people can enjoy it. "I used to feel embarrassed because, while I was a comic writer, other people were building bridges or doing medical careers. But then I realized that entertainment is one of the most important things in life. Without it we would sink. Now I feel that if you are able to entertain people, you are doing something good "
This phrase made me think that one does not need to be someone powerful or influential to change the world, as P.T Barnum said: "the most noble art is to make others happy" and that's the way it is.
I hope someday to show my characters to the world and love them as I now love them because for me, those characters are not only my creations ... they are my family, they are the reason why I get up every day and walk to the school to spend five boring hours there.
And well ... without more to say. Goodbye, Stan Lee.
