Three men Tony Tucker, Pat Tate and Craig Rolfe aka "The Essex Boys" who were members of the Essex drugs underworld were brutally shot dead. They were discovered in their Range Rover on the morning of December 7 1995.

A year after the murders, Essex Police were struggling for leads on the murder case when Darren Nicholls, then 30, was arrested in May 1996 after 10kg of cannabis was found in his van. He had a corrupt relationship with an Essex detective and knew Whomes, Steele and the Essex boys.

Eventually Nicholls became a police informant, saying Steele lured the victims to Rettendon, as a passenger in the Range Rover following a drug dispute. Whomes emerged from bushes and gave Steele a shotgun and the pair opened fire.

The family of one of the two convicted men are still fighting to prove his innocence. Actors speak the words of Nicholls and his wife in this documentary.
