This is the second part of a seven-part series for beginners of brioche knitting. In this video, I demonstrate how to do basic two-color brioche knitting beginning with the setup row. I also cover how to count rows of brioche knitting as well as how to switch the primary and contrasting colors (i.e., making the primary the contrasting and vice versa). In order to do this part you must first have cast on 22 stitches using the Italian cast-on method (click here to see demonstration: • Beginners Brioche Knitting Series: Part 1 ... ).
In the other parts to this series, I demonstrate various aspects of brioche knitting (at the beginner level) on a flat swatch. For the best result, move through this series in order (i.e., part 1, part 2, etc.). All parts to this series are listed below as well as within the video as “cards” (the “i” appearing in the upper left corner within the videos).
For this video, you will need two double point needles (DPNs). They should be around a US size 8 / 5.0 mm. You will also need two different colored yarns as this series demonstrates on two-colored brioche.
I welcome any and all comments and feedback. Please subscribe to my channel for other knitting procedures as well as tips. Thank you for watching my video.
