The Russian master pianist Youri Egorov, who fled to our country in 1976, died in 1988 at the age of 33 from the effects of aids. Many at home and abroad still think back to this piano genius with admiration and nostalgia. Youri Egorov left his mark on the performance practice of classical music in his own unique way.
The Youri Egorov Foundation, bequeathed to the YPF, manages and protects the memory of Youri Egorov and fulfills his desire to support top talent. With this unique tribute, which the jury members of the YPF European Piano Competition 2022 give together, this promises to be an unforgettable evening.
