If you are looking for a spot where you don’t have to deal with crowds, I found it at the OYO (formerly Hooters) Hotel & Casino on Tropicana across from the MGM. Ritesh Agarwal, then 18, launched Oravel Stays, a platform for booking budget accommodations in India, later renamed OYO in 2013 and expanding around the world over the years. The casino floor is well-maintained but nearly empty on the Monday night I visited. It features a couple of bars, Steak & Shake and Hooters. If this place is around when the A’s stadium opens you will not be able to beat the location.
