How union members won the Australian federal election

United Workers Union members turned out in force: knocking on doors, hitting the phones, showing up at polling booths and making sure our issues were front and centre.

Because of that work, we’ve helped deliver another term for the Albanese Labor Government — and locked in real gains:
✔️ Aged care workers have won pay rises of up to 28%.
✔️ Early educators have secured a long-overdue 15% increase.
✔️ And every worker now has new rights like the right to disconnect from work after hours.
✔️ Same Job, Same Pay is now law - stopping bosses from using labour hire to undercut permanent workers.

We know there’s more to fight for. But this election showed what’s possible when union members stand up together and fight for a better future!
