Manihi, a paradisiacal little atoll far away in the Tuamotus archipelago in French Polynesia, has committed to future generations, banning fishing in his pass and part of his lagoon.
This is a courageous decision because fish is the cultural basis of the population’s diet ; but it opens up new possibilities for a more sustainable development, among which a tourism that is respectful and turned towards scuba diving.
