Lake Erie Islands 2015
Several of us spent two days this summer exploring the Lake Erie Islands on Personal Watercraft. AKA Jetskis, Waverunners, Seadoos. South Bass, Put-in-Bay, Middle Bass and North Bass are well known but we wanted to see some of the lesser known islands in the area.
Big Chick - Small and covered with birds and gravel
Chick - Mostly covered with water
Hen - Lots of trees and surprisingly a few houses
East Sister - Bigger than Hen with lots of trees and a lake inside
North Harbor - Very small. A few trees, a truck a dock and a house
South Bass (PIB) - Everyone knows PIB
Gibraltar - Just off PIB
Rattlesnake - Long and skinny
Green - Small with a lot of trees
Mouse - Very small. Lots of trees. near the Miller ferry.
Catawba - Its called an island but is mostly connected to the mainland.
