Watch Pole Barn Build Part 6 - Setting the Ridge is a detailed look at the next step in constructing a simple 30' x 30' post and beam style out building. In terms of construction, the ridge is basically the peak of a roof, but ridge also refers to the board or beams that are used in building the ridge. It is the highest point on a roof, represented by a horizontal line where two roof areas intersect, running the length of the building area to be covered.
