While Advent is a season of hope and expectation, we remember that God’s love works through unexpected people and through unexpected stories. We will witness this reality as we walk through our Advent sermon series, The Mothers of Jesus.

Leading us all the way to Christmas Eve, we will look closely at Tamar, Rahab, Ruth, Bathsheba, and Mary. Each of these women bear a story marked by hardship, tension, and even scandal. Yet, through each of them, God dignified, honored, and carried forward His redemptive plan. Their lives remind us that the subversive love of God is never predictable, never powerless, and never deterred by the brokenness of our world.
