MICHAEL LOBO RESIGNS AS MINISTER & MLA; SAYS BJP DOESN’T WANT KARYAKARTA LIKE HIM

Описание: In a major political development, Ports minister Micheal Lobo has resigned from the primary membership of Bharatiya Janata Party ending his 15 years of association with the party.

He also submitted as a member of the Legislative Assembly and also resigned from the Pramod Sawant cabinet

Speaking to media, Lobo said “I am having talks with other political parties. Workers are not happy with BJP as the party has been sidelining grass root level workers and giving priority to those who enter BJP from other parties. I have been highlighting the issues publicly for a long time but no one seems to be bothered. So the next step was to resign from the party”’ he added.

Lobo is expected to join Congress party later in the day.

BJP Goa President Sadanand Shet Tanavade has said " We knew that Lobo would quit the party.We were waiting for him to quit as he was interfering too much in Siolim & Mapusa. There is no much impact with him leaving the party. This was not a surprise for us, however,  BJP will win in Siolim and in Calangute,"
