Hello my Friends!
Welcome to the first in a series of free lessons, discussing some of the concepts I am most frequently sharing with students.
Slowly, the style of players in shifting towards melodic playing, from the wholly percussive origin.
Part of that transition is due to increase in popularity of these instruments as well as artists like my self creating music, not just "beautiful noise".

This lesson centers around filling in a rhythm, through altering the root note and listening for melodic pairs

Just taking this one step and applying it to the things you already play, will completely change the approach you take to playing and the interest in your scale.
After owning a scale for a while, some players feel they have "played out" all the songs on it. This feeling is easily remedied by change root notes!
