When to see your pediatrician
It's time to seek medical attention if your child's cough is:
• Persistent and doesn't seem to be getting better.
• Barky, harsh or sounds like a seal.
• Making it difficult for them to breathe.
• Accompanied by a fever or other worrying symptoms.
Frequent coughs can also be an indicator of a chronic respiratory condition, so in that case, it's always best to consult your doctor.
