UPPL Breaks From NDA, To Contest Solo In Assam Elections | Pramod Boro’s Big Move | News9

Описание: In a major political development ahead of the Assam Assembly elections, the United People’s Party Liberal has decided to go solo, breaking away from its alliance with the BJP-led NDA.

Party president Pramod Boro announced that UPPL will field candidates in 19 constituencies, both within and outside the Bodoland Territorial Region.

Boro said the decision reflects the will of the people and the party’s growing grassroots strength. He added that UPPL is contesting only in areas where it has a strong organisational base.

The party is contesting all 15 BTC seats and is confident of winning 10 to 12. Highlighting achievements, Boro claimed that the region has seen significant progress in the last five years.

At an event in Baksa district, UPPL also announced Jwng Sran Brahma as its candidate from the newly created Manas constituency.

The move signals a major shift in Assam’s political landscape as alliances begin to reshape ahead of the polls.
