In just the first 15 days of January 2026, 807 people were officially reported missing in Delhi, according to police data.
This equals an average of 54 missing cases per day in the national capital.
Out of these 807 cases:
509 were women and girls
298 were men
191 were minors under 18 years
As per the latest official update, 235 individuals have been traced, while 572 people remain untraced.
Looking at long-term data, between 2016 and 2025, a total of 2,32,737 people were reported missing in Delhi.
During the same 10-year period, around 1.8 lakh individuals were traced, leaving tens of thousands of cases unresolved.
