"Georgian American University" (GAU) is a private accredited higher education institution, which was established by Georgian and American partners in 2001 and currently has about 3,000 graduates. The president of GAU is R. Michael Cowgill, who also holds the position of Vice President of the American Chamber of Commerce and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Anaklia Consortium.

GAU unites 5 faculties (schools). These are: business school; School of Law, Social Sciences and Diplomacy; School of Informatics and Engineering; School of Humanities and Liberal Education; School of Medicine.

Upon admission to GAU, a student has the opportunity to participate in a variety of student life (sports and entertainment activities, social responsibility projects, public lectures, etc.) and most importantly, to participate in a number of exchange programs (Erasmus+, Mevlana, etc.) and to get a unique experience in different countries.
