However, depending on some of the methods employed by the previous roofer, it can be very difficult to see the other layers until the top layer of shingles has been removed.

2. Rotten Decking- Sometimes rotten damage isn't visible until the roof is removed. Once the rotten decking is discovered, it must be replaced. This will add to the cost of the job.

3. Selection Changes- If you make changes to the scope or materials after the estimate was provided, expect to pay more for that.
