Attacking Corner Set Play 2 - Straight into the Mix
Signal : Two Arm in Air
Corner Taker : Swing Ball into near/front post to middle of goal area (Red
Coloured Square). After cross, corner taker moves forward into field for
Second Phase Ball, Recycle, Cross, or ready to defend a counter attack.
Decoy Runner : Our Short Corner Decoy runner, starts the whole set play,
he moves out to pretend to receive a short corner ball (taking a defender
with him) but he will peel back and around to edge of box ready for Second
Phase Ball or ready to help defend a counter attack.
Target Players (5) : As corner taker steps back, signals with 2 arms
above the head, as he is about to move forward to take corner, all 5
target players sprint forward into their attacking positions
and crowd the front of the box as ball arrives. (Yellow Hatched Area)
