Friday, Sept. 2 will be a nice day in the Carolinas but the humidity is making a strong comeback over Labor Day weekend. Forecaster Larry Sprinkle says Charlotte will see afternoon highs in the low 90s Friday with low humidity. Winds will be light and variable across the Charlotte metro.
Saturday will be a different story across North Carolina and South Carolina. Larry Sprinkle says temperatures won't be as high but humid air will make it feel hot and sticky in the Carolinas. Highs will be in the mid-80s across the Carolinas for Labor Day weekend but there is a chance for showers and storms on Saturday and Sunday.
The good news is neither day is forecast to be a total washout, so if you're planning one last summer beach trip or welcoming fall in the North Carolina mountains, you can still enjoy the beautiful outdoors without worrying about widespread rain showers and thunderstroms. #WakeUpCLT #weather #forecast
