The first thing to consider is how you plan on hunting. Whether you plan on hunting from the ground, in a blind, in a treestand or in a tree saddle, you should practice in that scenario. You owe it to the game animal you are pursuing to be as prepared as possible.

The next key point comes after the shot. If you are shooting into a foam or block target and are getting pass throughs with your broadheads, you should not pull that head back through the target. We suggest unscrewing the head from your arrow and pulling the arrow out afterwards. The weakest point on the broadheads will be apparent when pulled backwards through the target.

Also after the shot, make sure there is no left over residue inside the blades or drive key that will prohibit the head from operating correctly.

The preseason is where you become prepared for the last 20 yards. Make sure you are practicing perfectly.
